Just got this halfmoon yesterday for an equivalent of $5 usd. I'm from indonesia so they're quite cheap here. Bright red fins and a nice blue tint to his body, gorgeous

This is Dorian, a halfmoon Betta.
We picked him up Wednesday.

He seems to be enjoying his new home.
When I took the top off his tank, I discovered he had made a good sized bubble nest.

This is Zeus. He got his name for his "don't mess with me" attitude toward the shrimp who have been living in the tank before him. I think he believes he is God... at least in his aquarium.

I saw these while shopping yesterday. If I had room, I would have bought them all.

There was also a pure white hm female that I was walking around the store with. I was planning on putting her in one of my peaceful community tank, but I put her back on the shelf.

I'm rather proud of myself for resisting temptation

Apparently sir Munch a Lot is much less concerned with his water quality than I am.....he's been working on his nest all morning

this is my new dragon scale child! I let people from a Hamilton community name him, and I do not regret it
His name is King Samuel Jefferson the Third, or King Samuel Seabury Thomas Jefferson the Third
He's a beautiful sassy thing that flared at me within the first thirty seconds of being in his tank

Ok so I'm gonna post a picture and a little description for each of my bettas!

This is Dijon my HM Mustard gas Betta, he's full of sass and a very interactive little cutie! He loves just about everything and I haven't seen him flare yet, but I'll wait to see it!

This is Yuno (she was in a jar during a water change) and she's a sweet little HM Betta. She was a rescue because she had really bad SBD, but now she loves to wiggle around when she sees me and interact with anything and everything! She's quite young though!

This is Yukiteru my Koi Plakat Betta. He's very energetic and sassy. He flares beautifully and is a very graceful swimmer. He was my first personal Betta fish and I'm very glad he still is!

Here's Harley Quinn my VT Betta. She has to still be in QT so I can make sure her finrot heals completely before she can have her half of my divided 10gal tanks! She is SUPER wiggly and energetic but she loves to rest in her favorite green plant!

Here's my Shiro, a VT Betta who was a rescue from a super market. He's such a feisty little guy, but he is an avid tail biter so he requires ALOT of TLC to make sure he has enough places to explore, hide, and things to mess around with.

And last but certainly not least is King, my King Betta fish. He's a very feisty yet lazy boy. He loves to rest in his hammock and take some very LONG naps. He is young but he's SUPER lazy, until he sees Harley, than he gets super pumped up and flirts like there's no tomorrow!

Moo has to be one of the prettiest I've seen, but then again I'm quite biased.

This last picture is him when he arrived, my little buddy's changed so much!
Viewer discretion is advised

So I recently got a new Betta and I just don't know what to call him.

This is my brand new single Betta setup though

Please excuse the giant mirror I was trying to get him to stop and strike a pose

Howdy,

I like to introduce myself and my new veiltail Betta, March17.

His home is a FluVal Spec III 2.6 gallon tank, with a Marina 25W mini heater.

The "cave" is an Asian helmet from National Geographic I got on sale at PetSmart... had to use a Dremmel tool to smooth the rough edges, specially inside; he seems to like it in there!

Here's a close-up of March17 (I usually name my small pets with the month & year I get them).

At the moment I only have this Betta, but I've kept tropical freshwater fish, on an off, since I was 10... had the typical community tank, had an Oscar that I got as a 1.5" fry and lived 8 years (in his own tank with a pleco), and a number of Bettas that were really my daughters' but I did most of the work (had both male and females, but never tried to breed them). I also have a dog, 2 cats, 5 tarantulas and 1 scorpion.
