How should I get rid of this algae problem?

6 month old 29 gallon sanded tank with amazon sword, anubias nana, java fern, hydrophilia (forgot species), Ludwigia ovalis and jungle val. Has been on an 8 hour low tech light regimen but have tried to cut it down with some days without turning it on. I have 3 otos. What algae do I have an how do I minimize it? I think I see brown algae, blue green algae and black beard algae. Thanks in advance

I'm not seeing the blue green algae, so I'm going to ignore that (that would be a huge deal). The other algae is due to excessive nutrients. Up your water changes, vacuuming, and general maintenance. In addition, less light may help some.
Good luck

Do you feed the plants plant food? Looks like too much plant food. I have 450ppm tap water so that's most of the micro and macro notes I need. I do use root tabs but if I feed plants too much I get this!!

I use to use nilocg for low tech plants once a week but I have stopped. I do use nilocg thrive caps for my amazon swords though. I find it very hard to vacuum with sand substrate so I just change the water; 40% weekly

With light substrate you clamp hose in one hand stopping flow when needed. Then junk stays in syphon as sand falls then release clamped hand and syphon starts again. As sand makes it up tube. Clamp again then sand falls.
