4/15 Update:

I finally got out most of the previous requests (and there were quite a few), and I once again have a lot of extras to send out.

-Salvinia Minima - aka floating fern, ak Water Spangles - I have a bucketful or two, I will ship anyone as much as they want
(Keep in mind Salvinia itself is a banned plant in 4 or 5 states, but only Texas has banned even Salvinia Minima outright, I won't ship it there, and if you choose to get rid of it from your tanks, in any state, please throw it away or let it dry/die in the sun - it's ability to self propagate is great in our fish tanks but not great in the wild)

-Narrow Leaf Anacharis (Egeria Najas) - Great for Betta tanks!
I have a lot of this as well, the more I trim it the more it grows.
I cannot ship it to CA but most other states are ok, Egeria has other types that are not allowed in several states (incl. Oregon) but Najas is banned only in CA as far as I know

As I trim and adjust tanks, I'll have in small quantities in the next 2-3 weeks:

-Ammannia Senegalensis (bit orange edges)

-Ammannia Gracilis (bit of pink/red on the edges)

-Red Myriophyllum

-Myriophyllum Mattogrossense

-Nomaphila Variegatus

-Hygrophila difformis aka Water Wisteria

I'm not shipping out as quickly as I'd like (Shelter in Place is causing more upheaval than not in some ways), but I am shipping out for free, to anyone who wants/needs plants.

If you want ANY of these plants over the next 2-4 weeks (that's about how fast I'm shipping out, keeping in mind all the plants are in staying submersed this entire time) please send me a PM with what you'd like, your name & address or email address and I'll respond as quickly as I'm able.

FYI - I do have fish, shrimp & snails in every tank, though the plants go through a 'quarantine' here in plant only conditions for app. 2 weeks before I'm shipping, there is a chance they will bring something with them wherever they go (snail eggs in particular, they came to me from the Plant shops and they go out on the plants no matter how much I rinse them) - you may want to quarantine the plants or rinse them in a solution of your choice for cleaning before placing in your fish tanks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As many of my plants are so happy they are multiplying in numbers greater than I have space for in my tanks (and I like to make room for new plants), I’m just going to post the ‘extras’ here - if anyone wants them, I’ll mail for free. I can’t get to the LFS while they’re closed and I don’t want to discard healthy plants.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to locate a bunch of warmers for the packages but I’ll ship priority mail and that should suffice (unless you’re in a snowy region).

-Salvinia Minima - floating plant, short roots, prefers low flow water surface for propagation

-Anacharis - everything plant, can be planted in substrate, attached to rocks, or left floating (Bettas love to rest in this, esp at night) - it will do well in almost any conditions

-Java Fern - can be attached to rocks or just left to sink, easy to grow in any tank, appreciates light fertilizer

Soon:

Water Wisteria

These are all from my current running tanks, not plant only tanks. I’ve had no fish/invert health concerns in these tanks for 6+ weeks.
There is small possibility of hidden snail eggs though I will do all I can to remove them.
Hin that is is nice of you to offer free plants. I would LOVE some. I live in Massachusetts.
I am just cyclling a 20 gallon and a 10 gallo right now and desperately need plants. I do not get to get fancy with my plants low to medium light and I use fluvial subtrate no co2. What do I need to do to pay for shipping Thanks

kymob

So nice of you to offer free plants. I am cycling 20 gallon long and 10 gallon. I lost a ton of my plants due to bad lighting and being green. Live and learn. LOL Would love what ever you want to send me. I use low ligh/ medium light and use fluvial substrate. 12 betta fish in their own tanks. Let me know how to pay for shipping.

Blue1314

If you have any Narrow Leaf Anacharis and Java left I would love some. And if you have anything else left I would like a sampler. Thank you sooooooo much! You're so generous!

FishGirl115

Is this still on?
For anyone wondering this, I believe she private messages everyone. So you won't see a conversation about this and that on here.

Got it. I'm getting those, water spangles, and the wisteria.

Shrimpgeek

I'm interested in your Ammannia Gracilis. is any of it left?

mukg

Thank you so much for offering/doing this!

Interested in some

Salvinia Minima
Red Myriophyllum
Nomaphila Variegatus
Water Wisteria
Java ferns

Are any/all of these still available?

trinity28

This is so generous! I am interested in anything you have left over if your offer is still on

fishlover357

I would love some Java Fern if you have any.

FishGirl115

She ships out roughly once a month

Addictedtobettas

Yes, I still have some plants (or lots of plants depending on your pov). I am NOT getting updates from this thread at all for some reason, and sometimes PMs don't 'ping' me but I do check those more than this thread.

I got nearly everyones recent requests out but have a couple more to send off (ran out of boxes and bags) and can send send out others if folks want anything.

Send me a PM if you want any of the plants, and/or have not gotten a delivery! Technology and its quirks is only adding to my crazy covid life lately, I'm not trying to ignore anyones requests.

Java Fern is the least of what I have left, but I do have a bunch of plantlets coming up so I can send those out towards the end of the month!

Salvinia, Anacharis, Wisteria and (new addition!) Mermaid Weed will probably be on my always have some to send list. Just fyi.

Aww! Now I want mermaid weed But I suppose I'd better stick to what I just got for now. Thank you for those by the way!

Blueberrybetta

Just received my Anacharis today, well packaged and in perfect condition! Thank you so much again! My Blu loves it

HI, Addi, would you please have a look at the shipping information? The tracking showed the label created already 1 week, but no update so far, anything wrong?

Thanks for your kindness!!

Any salvinia and wisteria left?

Kitcatkady

I’d love some Java Fern and Anacharis. I’m trying to pm you.
Thanks!!

Addictedtobettas

Any left?

Salvinia, Rotala Rotundifolia (Ceylon) are what I'll probably have left for extras after sending out stuff this weekend. Possibly Anacharis.

Any salvinia and wisteria left?

Yes, I have some of both left (Salvinia is never ending). Just send me an address in PM and I'll get it off this weekend.

I’m always interested in plants if you have any extras!

I'll get back to your message in a few!

I’d love some Java Fern and Anacharis. I’m trying to pm you.
Thanks!!

I got your message too and I'll respond shortly.

Hi. Im interested in Rotala Rotundifolia. I'll PM you!

FinalFins

Sorry, I have to cancel I talked with my parents over it and they aren't much of a fan of random (not) people sending me stuff. Too paranoid over the virus I guess.

FishGirl115

I want to let everyone know that these cuttings are great! My wisteria is already showing new growth. The baby java ferns leaves are bright and bushy. The salvinia got sucked up by my filter, so we'll see how it does in my sponge filter tank. And my second order: The anacharis is beautiful (not growing yet since they just arrived yesterday) and so is the mermaid weed. We'll see how those fill in.
P.S I haven't used any fertilizers. Sand in one tank, plain ol' gravel in the others

Floundering_Around

I'll take all types of java fern and some rotala if you have any left. If you have any moss, that would be appreciated too. Didn't realize you were waiting on me to send my address, my bad

julifhy

I was wondering if there are any free plants still available? If there are, which ones are available?

Troyee219

I would also like to know, i am interested in any type of moss, i think i am too late though...

5/29 Update:

I have a few plants left to send out this weekend, if you've sent me a request (and an address) via PM I'll try to get a tracking number to you as well when they go or are about to be picked up.

Going to take a shipping hiatus in June I believe, but if you're interested in free plants after that (potentially towards the end of the month) please send me a PM and while I may not reply until mid-late June I will get back to those interested!

Plant List (unless melt or strange happenings occur) for late June/July:

-Salvinia Minima - aka floating fern, ak Water Spangles - I have a bucketful or two, I will ship anyone as much as they want
(Keep in mind Salvinia itself is a banned plant in 4 or 5 states, but only Texas has banned even Salvinia Minima outright, I won't ship it there, and if you choose to get rid of it from your tanks, in any state, please throw it away or let it dry/die in the sun - it's ability to self propagate is great in our fish tanks but not great in the wild)

-Rotala Rotundifolia (Ceylon as best can be figured out)
This one is nearly as happy as the Anacharis, and grows out rather quickly so I have plenty of it! Great for fry tanks, Bettas, and any where you have some height that needs filling in.

- Hygrophila difformis aka Water Wisteria

- Ammannia (Gracilis & Senegalensis, they are so alike I can barely tell them apart - Red & Orange)

- Java Fern, Trident, Narrow Leaf & Windelov (Plantlets mostly)

- Dark Red Ludwigia (Ludwigia repens) - in small quantities

- Needle Leaf Ludwigia (Ludwigia arcuata) - in small quantities

I messaged her a month ago too. I know she mentioned in another thread that she's having health issues, so let's all be patient

BeardedTetra

The state of this world baffles me.

She's giving away stuff, and people fuss that she's not doing it fast enough or according to their schedules.

Stop and think about how many messages this thread generates to her inbox and be thankful that's she's even still doing this instead of expecting her to put her life on hold to give freebies to selfish, impatient, ungrateful whiners.

Well, yes, health issues have been sidetracking me to say the least.

My tanks aren't getting the care I was hoping they would but I'm trying to make sure the basics are done at least. The plants are nearly out of control again but I'm not able to ship just yet. Maybe August will bring about a change for the better.

(Not to get too personal but I'm having major spinal & leg issues that are unexpected to say the least and standing, sitting, walking and even lying down can be difficult and very painful, so carefully pulling plants and reorganizing tanks has not been possible - and shipping 10-20 packages of plants is really out of the question, its tedious and time consuming {just cleaning 7 tanks every week is a major task right now})

I don't get all of the updates to this thread or even to private messages for some reason. But I do try to check in.

As someone who has suffered from severe back pain for years, you have my utmost sympathy. Not only the constant pain, but when your back gives out, your whole body is often completely out of the game and the psychological effects can easily break you down. You focus on getting better. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Well i hope you get better, no need to worry about shipping out all the plants, get better and take care of yourself first, and that's weird that your not getting private messages, maybe ask a mod, they may be able to help, my grandma has spinal problems and knee problems, just from seeing and talking to her i know how you must feel, get better!
