Why are my amano shrimps purple?

Hello everyone,

I've had my amanos for about 1 year now and they all turned purplish within a month. They are still purple and their behavior hasn't changed at all (except that they started hiding more once I introduced guppies and endlers, who don't harm the shrimp). I'm just curious as to why this is happening. The entire body is like this on the shrimp. I'll post another image if I can find one in my camera lol. (edit:found one, image below the one of the head.)

I wouldn't worry if they are acting normal. It may be something you feed them. Mine turn orangeish from red bell pepper.

Very interesting. I don't feed them much, they eat afwuchs and whatever else is on the floor. Sometimes I drop a shrimp pellet in for them.

Probably has to do with their diet.

There is a semi-rare colormorph known as the Australian Amano
