Honey Gourami

Hi,
Recently (yesterday) added a few guppies and two honey Gourami. Already in the tank are a few platies, tetras and ottos, as well as cherry barbs. Water parameters are fine, but the Gourami aren’t eating / moving about much.

Is this normal? I’d understand they need time to settle in, but not had that with fish before.

Did you quarantine them before adding to the tank? How did you acclimate? What are the water parameters?
Also some pictures of the fish may help

 

Yes, my honeys were shy at first. Took them nearly a week before they felt comfortable and fully settled.

Hello, yes, I always quarantine new fish.

Parameters this morning (from memory as at work)

PH 7.4
Ammonia 0.25 ppm
Nitrates 1 (I’m growing plants)

Will get pics later today

Well it looks like your tank isn't cycled so that might contribute to their shyness. But they should be fine until your cycle finishes - just don't add any more fish and keep an eye on them, hopefully they will perk up soon.
