New 29 gallon and 55 gallon craigslist builds

Hello fishlore! I recently purchased these 2 tanks a 29 gallon and a 55 gallon for an extremely nice deal off craigslist they're both in good condition. They're just as dirty as you can find a tank though. So here's my progress as it happens I'll keep you guys updated today I'm cleaning the tanks out as best I can!

My stocking plans for them are for the 55 gallon
4 angelfish
20 lemon tetras
10 khuli loaches
2 bolivian ram cichlids

For the 29 gallon
2 krib Cichlids
Or
2 bolivian ram cichlids

Note* be very careful filling those tanks up while their not supported well. A little too much flex today might cause a blow out tomorrow.

Thank you so much! My fist tank which is my 55 gallon fish only tank was actually a craigslist build too but it wasn't in quite such bad condition. I'm trying to not fill them up tooo much right now just enough to get it all done and clean.

 

Officially finished setting up and the 29 gallon.
Decided to just move my GSP into it! He won't stay still for a picture lol!

 

4 Angelfish is a recipe for disaster. Temperature wise, German Blue Rams would be more suitable with Angels than the Bolivians.

I don't know ive had the angels already for a bit in quarantine (I actually had 7 at once but I had to get rid of some of them.) And they've all been fine I haven't seen any fighting between them yet and they all seem pretty chummy personality wise. I was originally going to go with german blue rams but I actually asked questions about my stocking over on a thread about stocking and was told bolivians would probably be better actually based on temperament. Temperature wise it should work. I plan on keeping it at 78 degrees as all those fish on the list including the bolivians fit into that number. But please tell me if I'm wrong i see you have a whole lot more experience than i do.

You want to stick to the mid temperature range of every fish. Bolivians do best at 74-76 degrees, Angels at 78-82 degrees. Bolivians in my experience have been more aggressive than German Blues. Angelfish do fine while younger, but they become more prone to fighting as they mature (I have experience with this unfortunately happening). For 4 Angels, I'd recommend a minimum of 75g.
