Pond Platies with white fungus on faces

This may not be super helpful but I do know that they make pond medications for the same types I use in my tanks when I've had any sick or less than happy looking fish. I'm not sure what sorts your stores sell but I use melafix and pimafix and both come in pond intended types so they're abit...

Looking for information about angelfish pairing

I did know learn not long after we got our original angels about getting multiples together. Our lone female was originally bought to even out the group we had in the 55 gal. Then she chose our unpaired male and surprised us all at how things changed. Her mate passed in the summer though. None...

Will my new angelfish be ok

My tank came with 3 angels upon purchase. Two paired up and bullied the 3rd horribly. I guess 3 is an unlikely number with angels usually. They'll get mighty grumpy too if they begin spawning.. definately do research on good tank mates because they can be big bullies. Good luck.

Looking for information about angelfish pairing

Thank you, I will try searching that. The first 3 angels I originally had came with the tank upon purchase, it was a secondhand sale. I did try getting a few angels from LFS and every single one died within 3 to 4 days, came to find they sold me sick fish because we went back and discussed and...

Looking for information about angelfish pairing

I have a lone female angelfish in a 29 gallon tank who is roughly nearing a year old I believe. Over the summer unfortunately she lost her mated partner and did attempt to re-pair with our other male angelfish. That unfortunately did not work out and they were separated. She has recently begun...

55 Gallon Tank White bumps on angelfish head

Just wanted to update this thread.. Yesterday morning we woke up to moe being in a really bad state, when I spoke to the person at the LFS they confirmed it wasn't ick or hlle that he originally had. However that isn't what ultimately took him... he got a sore somehow. Very rapidly,, happened...

55 Gallon Tank White bumps on angelfish head

Frozen blood worms at the moment. They haven't taken an interest in the beef heart yet so I haven't tried that a 2nd time. I'm waiting. Usually they have blood worms and a form of shrimp (mysis, brine) I ran out of the shrimp not too long ago and need to get more when I restock their food. The...

55 Gallon Tank White bumps on angelfish head

They haven't moved from his head, but I did add on an update that I found what he has, unfortunately it's untreatable and I have to wait and see. His appetite did return last night after not eating for 2 days. He also showed interest in his mated female. They haven't changed really. He has his...

Angelfish has white bumps near the eyes!?

I am having the same issue. I just found out it is lymphcitis. If you look it up it looks exactly like what they've got.. there is sadly no treatment for it. Just a waiting game.

55 Gallon Tank White bumps on angelfish head

I have two tanks at the moment. A 55 gal and a 20 gal. I previously had my white angelfish (moe) and female koi (lodi) in the 20 gal to see if they would pair up uninterrupted. (I have two other angels that are a pair already.) After two weeks of observation I felt comfortable moving them to the...

    Fish Keep dying

Breeders and mom'n'pop style places are my personal choice for fish, they take better care, and could even tell you about their stock whereas at an LFS they'll not have that kind of information, most don't even really know what they're talking about half the time. One told me her mom doesn't...
