Eshopps Super Spy Coral Viewer Review

The Eshopps Super Spy Coral Viewer is a device that allows you to have a less obstructed view into your aquarium since it blocks the surface agitation. The coral viewer is made of hard plastic with a clear bottom and it floats. Taking top-down pictures without it requires that you turn off your pumps and power heads to keep the surface calm. This lets you leave everything running and provides a nice clear view of your tank top-down.
I got mine on Amazon for $36 for the small size (6 inches in diameter). They also have a large size as well that is 8 inches in diamter. You can let them float in your tank or just get it out for photo opportunities. It's big enough and deep enough (3 inches deep for the small) so you can place your camera sort of in it while taking pictures. Now that I have the small I wish I would have spent a few dollars more for the large.
It's very easy to use, nothing to it really. You just place the coral viewer in your aquarium on the water surface and start snapping your pictures. I can see reef tank keepers really getting a lot of use out of something like this. Getting a good top down shot of a coral can lead to some very interesting pictures. Below are some pictures I took with mine. Edit: I should have done a better job cleaning the viewing panel on the coral viewer from the previous time I used it. Sorry for some of the spots in the pics.
I give this product and not 5 stars just because of the price. It seems overpriced for something entirely composed of plastic. If you are really into getting good shots of your aquarium and corals this could be a good acquisition and you will get some good use out of it.
