She will have to have a male with her to fertilize the eggs as she scatters tehm. Danios are really bad to eat their eggs.

Do I need to move the female AND a male together to a separate tank ? Or can I move the female first, let her lay her eggs, then move her back to the main tank and transfer the male to the separate tank ?

BTW which is the male ? The skinnier ones right ?

The more slim ones are males. they both have to be in the tank when she lays the eggs. Just about the only way to keep the from eating the eggs is the have marbles or rocks on the bottom big enough for the eggs to fall between. They will even go into plants to eat the eggs. after she lays the eggs remove them back to the original tank.
