Yoyo Loaches And Amano Shrimp

Hey everyone! I am new to keeping yoyo loaches and it probably isn't permanent. Here is my problem, I have pest ramshorn snails, it started with just one and within a month I easily have 200 in my 20 gallon long.
So to remedy the problem I bought two small yoyo loaches (they were literally less than 2 inches long), (one died in transit from the LFS I bought him from) I know that yoyo loaches get big but I have a fifty gallon to put him in after he has done his job. I don't think I am going to keep him but anything is possible.
The thing is I have an absolute obsession with shrimp, I know that yoyo's will eat snails (that is why I have him) but will he and my 2 dwarf gourmis eat my amano shrimp I have ordered and are on the way?

 

Your amano shrimp will be safe, because they are typically 2-3 inches long and quick escapers.

 

They are going to be alright. Big and fast, they should be good.

 

Hey, I keep yoyo loaches and let me tell you, your amano shrimp will NOT be okay. Shrimp are fast but yoyo loaches are way faster, they're also nocturnal. Once he learns they're edible he'll decimate the population.
Also, 50 gallons is a bit small for adult yoyos. 5 inch+ incredibly active fish in a 3 ft tank won't work out long term.

I think I aggree with you, I ultimately decided to keep them in a different tank temporarily. I am still unsure what to do with the loach however, I am considering returning him because of the space issue. Thank you so much for your help!
