So I have a 100 gallon aquarium, tons of hiding places in between rocks, plants and driftwood.
I have 4 YoYo loaches, 3 of them are 1.5-2 inches long and all they do is hide for most of the time I'm looking at the tank (night time mostly).
I also have this 2.5-3 inch long YoYo loach who's almost been with me for a year. He's thriving by himself and is very active and friendly. He doesn't hide for most of the time.
3 of the small YoYo loaches just tend to be by themselves for the most part. Do I need to add more YoYo loaches to encourage shoaling?
I was advised to add 2 more from Anders247
I'm planning to go to my LFS tomorrow to pick up 2 BN Plecos for the same tank. I'm deciding if I should get 2 more loaches as well.
I'm housing the YoYos with Cichlids who are bigger than them by a good amount. I'm housing them with some Yellow Labs, a BP, Sev and FM Cichlid. The cichlids never pick on the loaches.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Edward
*Edit: I read that their mostly nocturnal , that might be an explanation. But it doesn't explain why my bigger YoYo is still very active
