What kind of music do you all enjoy? What are you currently listening to? Genres/artists/bands/songs/cds....

I want to know! I'm currently listening to MR2 by Miracles of Modern Science -- it's an odd song that popped up on my radio.

I looked that up and liked the strings. I play clarinet and love to hear that instrument (and other beautiful organic sounds) in modern music.

I am currently listening to the Above & Beyond pres. Oceanlab album Sirens of the Sea which has some beautiful tunes and vocals. Of course this is electronic music but the musicians create wonderful atmosphere.

I have been catching up on some pop songs from my past including the song If I were a Boy which was covered by Beyonce but I prefer the heartfelt original by BC Jean about her emotional breakup with her boyfriend.

Normally I listen to various types of Progressive Rock such as Math Rock. Today I listened to the track When The Catholic Girls Go Camping by Giraffes Giraffes! which gave blew me away as I was not expecting the energy put into this instrumental guitar and drums only tune.

I have been enjoying the album Hand Cannot Erase by Steven Wilson which is an album inspired by the story of Joyce Vincent who lived in London. She was young, she was popular, she was attractive, she had many friends, she had family, but for whatever reason, nobody missed her for three years.

I hope we have a diverse music taste here, personally I have a pretty wild music taste, varying from The Script to Fall Out Boy, but my current favourite artist is Twenty One Pilots, they have a deep place in my heart and I find a lot of their older music very relatable. I happily listen to anything on the radio, and am loving Rockabye, and due to my dads music taste, I have an amazing knowledge of 70/80's music too, personal favourite being Piano Man by Billy Joel.

Its nice to hear what everyone else likes, and a little youtube-ing later, I've come to really like Miracles of Modern Science

Florence + The Machine is my favourite. I also like Madeon, Oh Wonder, EDEN, Two Door Cinema Club and Astronaut. Occasionally I'll listen to a bit of Coldplay too.

I am fond of Kalafina's music. Oblivious in particular is pretty good. I prefer game soundtracks to actual albums. Fate/stay night's one is excellent.

I like grunge, alternative rock and melodic warrior metal.
Some favs:
Anything by Eddie vedar
Dragon force
Man of war
David Bowie
Pink Floyd
I love anything with good electric guitar or acoustic guitar and drums but if the "singer" starts doing that growl/yell stuff I lose interest. I also love classical piano, violin and classical spanish guitar. I can't play anything myself. But music totally affects my mood.

I'm suprised Panic! At The Disco hasn't been mentioned yet, they're probably my favorite band right now. I just found Marina and the Diamonds and love her, Hayley Kiyoko and Alessia Cara are also good. I mostly listen to showtunes though haha.

Oh wow, I'm gonna have to listen to this, clearly I didn't make my list long enough, or Panic! would already be there

Whenever I'm working on a tank I'm listening to: "Of Mice And Men" or "Slipknot" or "Dope" or "Evans Blue" or "Bring Me The Horizon"

I feel the incredibly angry screaming in most of these centers my ChI and allows me to create good harmony... Yeah? Something like that. Is the obvious bull, obvious?! But still... These are my bands, bro-skies and bro-skets.

My fish listen to a steady diet of Massive Attack type bass, old King Tubby dub, various punk bands and Cumbia. None of my fish have hips, which makes them lousy dancers.

Don't watch the video unless you want to feel like you've been taking drugs. It's weird!

Come to think of it, the other song I'm still obsessing over, and the song I'm listening to while typing this interestingly, has an even weirder video. On the surface it appears to be less weird, but it's not. If you can explain it then you'll be the first

I have hips and I'm a lousy dancer, what's you're point? For all you know your fish are little Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaires and you're just not a good judge of fish dancing

True, I too have hips and I dance like a constipated bear. It is altogether possible that the tank closest to my music is like a 70s disco, and I just don't recognize the moves. They could be doing the 'moon platy walk', the 'fin dab', the 'jitter freeze dried bug', the 'whiptail cat' or the 'cha cha slime', and I wouldn't even recognize it.

Humbled, he turned up the music and watched his fish....

Heck, I have ADHD, I don't need no stinkin' drugs! Weird video, but good song, thanks for the tip!

If there is a video that's weirder than the one I just saw, you HAVE to tell! (please!) Who knows, the way my brain works, maybe I can even explain it!

BTW, I can't dance well either, but I sure have fun when I do - people around me just have to watch out for their feet...

Oh there are videos weirder than that one. I've been to *that* side of YouTube

Yes! I have fun dancing too. I took bellydancing to try to develop some grace. I've got rhythm but my body just can't move with elegance.

I'm a guitarist and a singer. The former more so but I'm into heavy metal generally (Iron Maiden Metallica slipknot lamb of god) but I'm getting bored of the same old timings so in the past few years I've been going back to my old flame: prog metal/prog rock. Dream Theater is my all time favorite band and I'm currently learning (I've got about 90% finished) the song Illumination Theory. Great piece of work I suggest everyone listens to it

Love OM&M and bmth. I was so sad when Austin Carlile had to leave though. I love slipknot too I've seen all of them live. Great taste
