I have a gorgeous blue betta (pretty positive he's a veil tail)
I absolutely love him and he has such a personality. I only got him a few days ago and I've already figured out his main personality trait: HE IS GREEDY!
Always begging for food like a little puppy dog and eating the cucumber that's meant for my snail! He's such an active little guy, he's crazy curious and loves being photographed

Your betta is indeed a veiltail
I have 2 bettas, one male and one female, and they both became parents yesterday!! My male betta is being an awesome dad.
This is my male betta, his name is Bruce. He's a dork
He's a very angry little dude, always flaring at everything, including my face and his heater. He can make anyone laugh.

Bonus pic of him guarding his eggs

And this is my female betta, who I tried to give a name but I just kept calling her my big girl. She's big, and really curious and a surprisingly good mom! This is the best picture I have of her, when she was in the breeding tank. The stripes are breeding stripes, for anyone that doesn't know lol

Glad I was correct!

Oh my gosh your bettas are beautiful! I love their colours!! The Male sounds like a real character!
Congratulations to you and them! It's going to be an awesome journey

Male and female bettas in understocked community tank, both are calm and easygoing.

Franklin, who isn't the brightest fish out there, but hes cute. He doesn't like any fish in his tank at all.
He lives in a divided 10 gallon with Clementine.

20191104_232702.jpg

And Clementine, a new addition. Shes curious and nosy and likes to pick fights with the gravel siphon

I'll update with a photo later but my betta is a black orchid crown tail named Lazarus! He's super friendly and will wiggle back and forth at me when I wave at him from my chair. Laz is super chill and doesn't really flare unless I make him with a mirror (side note- he shows breeding behaviour when shown a mirror!). He also does some really odd things sometimes like try to sleep on his snail tank mates and then nip at their shells when they move.

Cute! My betta does the same thing... he finds my mystery snails shell an awesome place to sleep! XD

This is my oldest boy Gladice. He is somewhere between 3-4yrs and is very sweet, laid back, and friendly. Dealing with chronic fin rot that has come on with age

IMG_3622.JPG

This is my second boy Goon, he is about 3yrs. He was sold to me as a "white opal" but after a couple months turned this beautiful green and teal color! He is very funny and let's just say his name suits him.

IMG_3551.JPG
This is my third boy Clyde, he is about 1.5-2yrs. He is confrontational and pretty rude lol! But I love him, he's got more personality than the others and builds some awesome bubble nests

IMG_3575-1.JPG
This is my last and newest boy Abraham (named after the walking dead character!). I got him 3 weeks ago and looks to be under a year old. He is still developing those beautiful purple and blue scales over his body. So far I can tell he is my sweetest and most inquisitive boy. He is also the biggest at 3.5 inches!

IMG_3642.JPG

I will be getting another betta (my last one) in the next month or two! Excited about that

Thank you . I really enjoy having a few with such varying personality and looks! But it does take up a lot of space in my room lol.

Haha, I get it! My parents think I'm a bit crazy but have (very kindly) offered me many spots in the house to set up my tanks

I have a new betta myself. I have yet to name him. He's not very bright colored. He was in a jar with a bubbler. He's super active. Do their colors improve with better food? I'm feeding Omega One Betta Pellets. He gobbles them up. Two pellets twice a day and he's a happy fellow

I find their colours really do improve after they've been moved into better living conditions and eat a good balanced diet...

Was he in a jar or is he in a jar now? Just curious...

I just got this boy the other day. He's unnamed as of yet and I'm not 100% sure what to call his color (google has me leaning toward steel blue, but who knows. His tail gimmers purple-ish when he swims though!) but I know he's a delta tail.
His personality has yet to really reveal itself; right now he's just exploring his new home!

He was in a jar. He has a lovely 10 gallon tank now all to himself and he will forever have it just to himself. ❤

What a beauty! His colors will probably get brighter. Every betta I have brought home colored up really nicely in a clean, filtered, and heated tank

Awww I hope so. I got nervous. He almost looks less colorful than when I first got him. Only had him a week.

I would love to share, but you people make me ashamed of myself! Every one of my photos screams "When are you going to clean the water spots from the glass?!" Funny thing is, I don't see them until I take the pic! Stupid old cell phone !!!

My fishie! He is slooowly gaining his colour back. When I bought him, he had no blue at all.
He paces a lot, he's always on the move. He builds bubble nests and becomes the protector. Kind of funny.

This is Elvis!
He's about 6 months old. One side of him is more muted, colour wise, and on the other side he has brilliant pops of irridencant blues!

He is seriously such a cutie! He is full of energy and he zips around his tank and builds lots of bubble nests (once he made 4 in a day!) I used to call him Prince Elvis due to his young age. But very recently I tried to add tank mates and he was having absolutley none of it, went from cutie to gladiator in a heart beat- it became very clear that he is in fact The King

That was literally my reaction when I saw Franklin. I think he's gorgeous!! I love his speckled cellophane tail and bronze body- he definitely makes colour seem overrated

Hes a good boy, faded in colour but he stood out to me for this reason. I love his subtlety. He likes lying under leaf litter for bed time. Half the time hes resting under them and his half of the tank looks empty lol

Haha how sweet! It's like "Where's Franklin!?" (As opposed to "Where's Wally!?")
