Yet another betta!

Since I have lost bettas at an alarming rate lately, I do not know about the wisdom of this but I saw him and could not help myself.

He is MartyIII. Now I know there have been two previous Martys but this one looks like them and I am so hoping will act like the first one. He is a 3.5 month old Crowntail and I broke my long standing rule and ordered from Thailand again. I went on eBay looking for one from Miami Aquariums and they only had 2 fish listed. I found this little guy and the picture and stance was so like the other Martys ... I could not help myself. I should never shop for bettas on the same day I lose one.

Anyway the pictures below are the ones of the Last Marty and this Marty at about the same age. Other than the fact that the last one was a Halfmoon I think they look very similar.

He is from Wattana, BangKok, Thailand and his screen name on eBay is funkoctopus. I do not remember his full name but it is on the site. He did have some gorgeous fish and these fish are shipped worldwide to transhippers in all countries. (Britain included) I do not ordinarily like doing it this way as the chances of getting a betta that is not doing well increase but Miami Aquariums only had 2 on their listing and I did not feel like waiting. I may suffer for it later.

Well I posted a pic of Marty Jr. and Marty III so here is the ORIGINAL Marty!

He was a little terror on fins and I loved him to utter distraction. He died as a result of Melafix usage and I will remember that forever.

Rose

The first two are the original Marty and the new MartyIII on top then on the bottom is the original Marty and Marty Jr. as he was at adult size. The one in my signature is what Marty Jr. looked like as a juvenile.

Yes he does have amazing looking fish. I would be more confident if he had a few more sales under his belt. I think I am his first fish buyer. The other items he has feedback on are mostly skateboards! He won't have a Seller rating until he has sold at least 10 items! This just makes me feel so much more secure. I am supposed to receive him after he reaches Denver on the 24th I think. Linda Olson is the transhipper. I did not have really good luck last time I did this so I will have to admit to being pretty nervous.:helpsmilie:I will have to say that he is keeping in good contact with me though.

Good luck with your new Marty, Rose. He is gorgeous! ;D I'm sure you are holding your breath til you get him. Considering that this is a first time fish seller.... I'd be nervous too! Keeping my fingers crossed for you on this one! ;D

HI Rose,

Congrats on Marty, III. He is a beautiful guy. I will keep him in my prayers until he is safely home in his tank and being spoiled by his new mommy!

I don't blame you for being nervous. I would be too even if he did have more experience with selling fish and shipping them out only because he's coming from a different country. I will keep him and you in my prayers. natalie
