Yellow labs & Demasoni tank

So after much deliberation and reading wetter it will work or not. Looked at stories saying it’s fine to it will be a nightmare I have put 6 demasoni and 5 yellow labs together. I am working on the basis that there are all juveniles around an inch will grow older together and learn to be ok. I’ve also read that the demos won’t bother yellow labs too much due to colour and less aggression from them. So far they have been together for about two hours and all ok. I’ll do a pic tomorrow and an update

I’ll feed them three times a day to keep them well feed which should keep aggression down again plus I have a lot of rock but will keep adding over the next few weeks. Any advice would be much appreciated.

So it’s been 4 hours since they were introduced and it seems ok still. Demos are bit hectic and in and out of the rocks. Labs are kind of staying clear but as I say it’s pretty settled just minor sorting out who’s who really. Fingers crossed

Woke up this morning worried I would find dead fish and actually all ok. All my yellow labs were out waiting for food and the demosoni were all hiding. They seem to like being in the rock more than the labs. Only worry right now is the labs ate most the food. I plan to try and source more rock today for them. I’m thinking add another 3 demosonis by the end of next week so there are 9 demosonis and 5 yellow labs. Just in case the demosonis go mental or there is one crazy hard Male. There’s a little chasing but nothing that worries me at the moment . Here’s some photos

Nice. Plenty of people go for the blue, yellow combination as it looks great, I'm trying for blue, yellow, red this time.

Quick update....decided to go grab three more baby demosoni as I have read so much they are better in larger groups and hopefully will pay even less attention the my yellow labs.

That’s 8 demosoni and 5 yellow labs. Will keep updated how they settle in now

Hi I have 4m 1f Placidochromis Phenochilus Tanzania for the blue, 3 electric yellow unsexed for yellow, and 1m albino dragon blood and 6 juvie ruby red peacocks unsexed for the red.
