Yay! New babies :)

One of my berried shrimp has had her babies last night! I'm trying to get decent pics or video once my camera is charged. I've seen 3 so far. I was thinking this morning that our recent heat issues may have caused issues with the babies, since I saw a bunch of eggs or egg sacs being devoured by my pest snails this morning, but it looks like they may have just been the sacs and at least some of the babies are doing well!!!

OMG these things are tiny!

Edit: Add 11 more onto that count. Apparently they didn't go far from where they hatched

Day 4, they're starting to look a little more like shrimp. At least I don't have to circle them for the camera.

Some of my adults and teenagers decided to hop in for some cameos, which make a great size comparison.

To go from almost microscopic to grooving around your tank in 4 days is so cool! How long do shrimp take to mature? Awesome looking tank, btw.

Thank you

I think it's about 3-4 weeks for them to be able to reproduce, but it's definitely longer than that for them to fully mature. A few of my baby girls are berried and close to giving birth, but they are definitely not full grown yet.

1 week old and they're already starting to develop some nice color! They decided to be brave and eat with the adults today
