YAY!! Babies!!

I have 8 new babies! I'm not sure yet if they are guppys, platys or swordtails, as all my females are/were pregnant. I was so worried about keeping so many babies in the "playpen" net, and so put them in a 1.5 gallon tank I had bought at a garage sale. But that tank had no light, and that upset me. My husband, being the wonderful man he is, went out and bought me a brand new 2 gallon kit as an anniversary gift. (who else but a fish lover would get excited about that?) My 8 new fry and 3 slightly older fry are now swimming about happily, enjoying all the room they have. I "stole" water from my 20 gallon to fill the tank, and put some of the old gravel under the new gravel, so the pH level and water quality is the same as what they were born into. The tank is just the right size to sit on my desk, so I can keep an eye on them all the time.
I'd like to post a pic of the 1.5 gallon I bought, to see if anyone recognizes the make or model, but I keep getting an error message. The tank is round (like a cylander), and has the filter pump in the base. The light is also supposed to be in the base, shining up through a "dome" in the bottom of the tank. I think I remember seeing this kind of tank a LONG time ago, but am not sure. Any ideas where I could find a replacement light fixture for it?? (I'd like to keep it for an African Dwarf Frog or two.....)

I do not know the brand you are speaking of but I may have a solution to the light problem. I have used them and they are great. I haven't used the round one but I have all the others. I also used the little black halogen one and it is an excellent light but doesn't last as long.

Hope this helps you be able to get your little frog a home.

Congratulations on the Babies!!!! They will fill your home with glee for a long time. There is nothing like watching them grow up.

Here's pics of the unidentified i.5 gallon:
(Kind of looks like a blender, doesn't it? )

Watching my babies grow is truly a joy! The one that I am sure is a swordtail definitely has my attention. The mom is an orange (marigold?) swordtail, and the dad is a red wag-tail (red with black tail). The baby, so far, is orange with a black tail, and appears to be a female. The two older "guppy" fry (still not sure) have not developed any color. As soon as I can get good pics of them, I'll share.
