WTB Unwanted Cichlids!!!

Hello!
• I’m looking to overpopulate my African Cichlid grow out tank and find one (possibly two) tankmates for my baby Oscar/juvenile Blood Red Parrot. If you have anyone you’re looking to rehome, shoot me a message! I might be interested.
• As far as the African cichlids are concerned, I’m looking for more calm varieties. (Sulfur Heads, Frontosia, Aulonocara, Mbuna, Labs, etc.) Outside of the Frontosia, I’m not looking for anyone who’ll get bigger than 6 inches. No predatory haps, will consider hap-peacock hybrids. They must be a minimum of 2 1/2 inches or more; I would prefer males but this is not a must.
• For my South American tank, I’m looking for something like a jellybean parrot (pink convict x blood parrot), a Severum (any variety), possibly another Oscar, terrors, etc. I’m open to varieties that aren’t on this list, however, I’m trying to stay away from fish that’ll grow over eight inches. In some case, I may be willing to overlook that lol. My blood parrot is about 3.5 inches and my Oscar is almost 2 inches - I’m looking to stay within that size range. No one smaller than 2”; no one bigger than 4”.
• I‘m located in NY, USA and I’ll pay for 3-day guarantee shipping. I’ve received fish this way before and haven’t ever had an issue. It’s getting warm by me so I probably won’t need heat packs, just good insulation. PM me with photos and a price for both the fish and shipping costs.
Thanks!
Alison

If you have a hospital tank, I have a Lutino Oscar who needs a little TLC. I bought him from a LFS but they called an told me they had a red worm breakout just after I purchased him. Honestly, I don’t have the time to treat him but I’ve been keeping up with meds and water changes at the expense of my free time with my children. He could use some love if you have the time to treat him properly. If not, it’s ok. I’m still treating him but I will eventually have to give him away. You can just pay shipping if you are interested. LMK

I might be interested. I’m not familiar with red worm; does it have another name? When I went looking for info, all that came up was worms you can feed your Oscars lol

I posted a link above with the “what to do” and type of worm.

He’s not showing anything coming out of his anus yet. So that’s a positive. He’s about 4 to 4.5 inches. He has tons of personality so I’d say he’s doing well. I just took these photos and he wouldn’t sit still long enough . That terra-cotta pot in the tank is a 4 in pot. I purchased him when he was about 3.5 inches.

that face! He’s a cutie, I’ll give you that. Would it be okay if I slept on it? I’m not sure how a community tank with 2 Oscars would work. Sometimes a set of two will bond with each other and then become aggressive to the other fish in the aquarium. I wouldn’t want to add him and then have it be an issue for my Blood Parrot and possible other tank mates.

Of course. No pressure. Lmk when you’re ready if at all. I will probably end up giving him to a fish rescue here in AZ that devoted their their time and love to little dudes like this, if you don’t want him. But honestly, it’s not a problem

Thank you so much for understanding; either way, I’ll give you a definite answer by Saturday the latest. If for some reason you don’t hear from me, defiantly shoot me a message. I can be very scatter brained at times and forget to hit the send button lol Honestly, the worms don’t worry me at all. Nothing some meds and garlic laced food won’t kill. If he isn’t showing symptoms and is acting fine, how’d you discover he had them? And are you positive he still has them?

I saw one in my guppy. I had feeders in there from the same store So if he was eating those guppies, then he has to have them. I noticed today his belly sunk in ever so slightly. I think the seachem Metroplex may not be working. I have Kanaplex to so I may do a mix. I have to head out of town this weekend to help my mother. But I will check in to see what you decide. I’ll try to get a picture of his tummy later also.
