Would this stand work for a 33G Long aquarium?

DasBeasto

Sorry for the huge images I'm not sure how to scale them.

This stand is currently holding my 10G tank (ignore the mess its maintenance day). I'm looking to get more floorspace for my fish so I'm hoping to upgrade to a 33 Long. 10G are (20" x 10" x 12") while 33 Long are (48 1/4" x 12 3/4" x 12 7/8"), so it'd be about the same height just spread over more surface area. 33 gallons of water weighs 275.22 lbs.

The stand was made by my wife's dad who is an excellent woodworker. She's not sure of the material, guessing pine but could be plywood or anything else really. It is 2cm/.75" thick all around. Feels incredibly sturdy. The edges are joined with some sort of dovetail joints, not screws, if that matters.

Do you think this would hold the tank?

How long and wide is the stand? Ideally it should be slightly larger than the tank on all four sides.

Stand is 50" x 16.5", so will have a little room extra in each direction.

It should be fine.
