Would this Co2 system work in my tank?

I have a 45G tank and I'm just getting into Co2. I found that fluval sells a pressurized Co2 kit that's rated for 15-40G tanks. Since its the easiest system Ive found so far, if I bought it, would it work on my 45G? I will still be adding Excel every day or two. The "hardest" plant I'm growing is Monte Carlo and I hear that all carpets do way better with Co2.

Thanks in Advance

So in an looking at the same thing. One for a five and one for a 45 g. Here were my thoughts on complete solutions, with the fluval 88 g being one I could expand over time with the parts listed.

Hopefully this helps you to, so I am posting it. Both systems include the use of spending 20 bucks for a 20 oz paintball co2 tank (cost about 20 and refills for 4 bucks).

So I have two solutions listed below. I am hoping these are complete.

It comes out to 133 plus paintball tank vs:

It comes out $99 plus plus paintball tank.

Plus a CO2 tank from a sporting goods?

Any recommended changes? Am I on crack?

I am aiming for the Spec V. Also, if it did, would this be a good pick for a 45 gallon setup as well? Please rate the complete solution. Thanks!

Hey Man, Thanks for the post. Guess we'll figure this out together although it seems that you're more ahead of the game. I kind of don't want ANY DIY at all since I have no time and just want a use straight out of the box approach. As for the re-fills I don't mind just buying the name brand stuff from whatever company I go with. I found a company Ive never heard of called ISTA. Check it out and tell me what you think.

The thing is an 88 g xmcart in a 45 can burn out fast. One adapter you can use a 2750 gram container for the same price as the 88 g. My process was get an 88 then an adapter and then the tank. Other stuff later.

I will say the up aqua paintball regulator is however enticing as well.

The idea stuff I just can't find good reviews on. They have some seriously neat stuff though.

CO2 is too dang complicated lol.

Idea was ista. Auto correct.

Ive spent the last few hours doing some research. You are right it is complicated. The Ista does have pretty bad reviews. But I'm starting to get the feel that you may be right in that getting a paintball co2 cylinder would probably be the best way to go. Now I just gotta learn how to put it all together. Seems like its going to cost around $200

Add up my two selections so far.... One is 99 plus cylinder when the 88 expires.

I would go for the aquatek over the fluval its more compact and over the long run cheaper.
