Would sponge filters work okay in a cichlid tank?

So I just learned about sponge filters and I’m thinking about switching my tanks over. I have two 65 gallon tanks. I would like to get one pump that can power 4 sponge filters and 3 bubblers for the 2 tanks. Does anybody have suggestions on air pumps? Also would sponge filters work okay in a cichlid tank?

What cichlids?
If you mean the kind of cichlids Jason from prime time keeps then watch this video.

I run some tanks with only sponge filters and find they do a good job of collecting solids on the floor of the tank directly under the sponge for us to vacuum.

Bought a vivosun 332 off eBay. Very power full. Comes with 4 outlets so you would have double up 2 for your bubblers. But it should have the power.

Petco sells an Imagitarium air pump with 4 outlets on it. With junctions, you should be able to easily run all that. Handled all my betta tanks with the one pump no problem.

Added: it's not the quietest pump i have, but it gets the job done.

The vivosun was definitely one I was looking at, or the aquaneat. I’m not trying to be a total tightwad but I also don’t want to buy the $300 pump. If you’ve had good experience with the vivosun I’ll probably go that route.
As always I appreciate everyone’s help.

Just got it this week. So can’t say how good it is for the long run. But it is running 3 sponge filters now with plenty of air. As to noise. I don’t think there is a quite air pump. That said it’s not bad.
