Would it be safe to put a tank on top of a fridge?

VSA

So I have ordered a fridge/freezer for the fish room and that got me thinking I now potentially have a stand for another tank. I’ve been wanting to do a nano Walstad for a while and looking around 20-35 litres.

The fridge is what we call an under counter in the U.K. and it is 84cm high and 48cm high

Should be able to support it. Might create enough vibrations when running though to drive the fish nuts. Least thats all i can think of.

Sounds like a bad idea to me.

If the fridge is under the counter but the aquarium on top of the counter.

Constant vibrations plus opening and shutting would not be fair on any animal.

I dunno about your fridge/freezer, but both of mine either have a hot spot or a cold spot on the top, depending on which one we are talking about, one gets really warm to the touch on top, the other, seems about 15 degrees cold. so you'd want to really check it out for a few days, when it's running, when it's in defrost, ect. before putting something up there, just in case your fridges are like mine.

Yes, definitely did not think it through. It’s a bad idea
