Would Flourish By Seachem Help Algal Growth?

I DO want algae in my tank, since I have snails and coaches who would benefit. I have quite a bit of rock and light, but only one rock has really gotten green.

Would a supplement like flourish help boost the process?

It would if there's not enough plants to use up the fertilizer so in short, yes

Flourish is so low in macronutrients I don't think it would, but the primary factor in algae growth isn't fertilizer, it's light. If you want algae just increase the light intensity and photoperiod.

The thing is that I don't have any plants inthe tank,so the fertilizer nutrients wouldn't be for anything except potential algae. The tank is,by the window, so daylight is the main light, and I hoped it would be enough. If I got a light fixture, would that be too much light for the fish?

You might just need more time. How long has your tank been set up?

Flourish is the name of the entire Seachem fertilizer line. Flourish Excel will probably kill your algae.Flourish Iron will promote algae.
