I'm planning to buy a new 45G tank for the second floor living room. Would it be too heavy? On the first level there is a brick wall under it, where I would place it on the second floor. However the floor laminating have some spots that are more wobbly than the rest. Any experiences?

I have a 55 gallon on the second floor. Make sure to have it next to a supporting wall and if your still worried have it perpendicular to the floor joists

People used to put queen / king sized water beds on the second and third floor. (190-250 gallons). I think a 45 will be fine.

My parents have a limit of 20 gallon ( Unless I'm in the basement) Mainly for if it leaks.... and the weight. I have all together in my one room 50gallons plus my bed, reptile stuff and my book shelf. It should be good.

Good point, but the weight is spread out on a water bed, does the stand your using have 4 legs or is it flat on the bottom

If you put 1000 pounds on 4, 2 inch spots your floor won’t hold in those spots

Yeah I have a 40 gallon on top of a heavy wooden dresser. And when you think about it, 40 gallon is what 150L? And 150L=150kg that’s like 2.5 people, if your floor can support 3 people (which it should cause if it doesn’t, you have a serious problem...), you shouldn’t have any problems. It should be fine.
