Worried Beginner Crayfish Owner

Hello, I have never had a pet before so my parents let me have a crayfish. We don’t have a tank or and filtering or food. So I have kept my crayfish in a bowl with lots of water and have tried to feed my crayfish cucumber, but failed. It has been aggressive and keeps floating whereabout the bowl. It’s tail is straight and it’s a male and isn’t eating, please give me some tips on how to take care of a crayfish. The crayfish was red so I figured that it doesn’t want light so it was been in shade for many minutes and hours. It has been pooping lots but eating nothing, please send advice or tips. -Thanks A Humble Worried Crayfish Owner

 

I'm sorry how this is going to sound but must be said you should or anyone else take on any animal,fish,crustation without first reading up on their needs If you want this crayfish to live I strongly advise taking it back to where you bought it or it will die and that's s fact I'm sorry, you are right to give us the information you have and hopefully follow this advise and he will live,
Do this then come back here and there's plenty here who will talk you through everything to get you going on the right track from buying the first tank,filter,setting up, cycling, then when the tanks ready introducing a crayfish,

 

I agree with the comment above mine. It’s very important to do some research about ANY pet. Do some research, get the proper equipment, and you’ll have a blast. I have a crayfish in my 20 gallon and he’s absolutely awesome. Don’t worry, doing your research pays off.
