Worms and flashing

Hey so after talking to my local fish shop, they have said i should treat my new fish in qt for worms, as two of the platy have had white stool since i got them two weeks ago..so the treatment will be here tomorrow but the two platy have also been flashing? I have only seen them doing it at night and im.guessing internal worms wouldn't cause flashing? So shall i also treat them for parasites? Ive been using prime in their tank as their was a small nitrite spike would prime cause them to flash? Theres also 6 minnow none have shown any symptoms of worms or anything like the platy. Thanks

 

Also, only the platy have white poop, not the minnows but they are all in the qt tank so do i treat them all???

 

Sarah, neither the flashing or white poop is caused by internal worms. You mentioned a nitrite spike which indicates the problem is environmental. The reason the minnows are fine is because species have different tolerance levels. What are your water parameters now?

Theyve had the white poo since i got them, my nitrite spike lasted one day, now is 0 same as ammonia and 5 nitrate

Their poo looks brown tonight to wont worm yet and keep an eye out but both still flashing?
