the worlds oldest aquarium fish, Granddad the Australian lungfish has passed away at the Shedd aquarium in Chicago.

Sad news. I knew about this fish and now need another living symbol of fish longevity.

In remembrance of Granddad, I have changed my profile picture to a of him. My his soul rest peacefully in the giant fish tank in the sky.

RIP Granddad -he shows such a lot of personality in that picture of him from the article... fallen log, indeed...

Granddad, an Australian Lungfish assumed to be over 100 years old, has recently died.

That's really interesting, thanks! I suppose now they can do a necropsy and determine exactly how old he was.

My lfs has a giant GouramI female that is 28years old now. Still a long way from 100,but still very old imo
