I'm starting to think they have worms

I boiled a skinless cucumber , nope
I tried 3 different flakes, nope, sortof
I tried little bits of plant mater like java moss, nope

The only time I ever see them eat is whenough I grind fluval flakes to little particles then eat.
Also they won't eat of the bottom of the tank.
If its worms does general cure work?
Or could have been fed daphnia there whole lives

Black neon tetras

There in an uncycled tank but I'm using prime.

Could it be constipation?

How long have you had them? Tetras aren't likely to eat cucumber or moss (IME), in nature, they eat mostly insects, so flake food is going to be your best bet. If you haven't had them that long give them a day or two they will eventually figure out your food regiment.

I don't know what those are and I'm out of money from buying distilled water. I added seachem replenish

The reason is my tap is so bad but water from my dehumidifier I'm thinking of using.

Just looked it up. It says treat. So is it food.

I would start with mosquito larva, being that would be the easiest. Or you could rehome them till your tank is ready.

Yep, fill a bucket with water and leave it outside, in a couple of days you should start seeing some larvae in the water--assuming you are in the northern hemisphere if you are south of the equator and are in the midst of winter you may need to come up with some alternative plans.

I kept a daphina culture going on the windwsill for nine months. The heat killed it in the end but it was not bad going for £1.25

I was doing research and I think I found an answer. I was just going to get male guppies but now I’m thinking
1 male and three females. That’s three large meals a month.

Were I live mosquitos have mostly gone away for the summer

Options on the guppy thing?

My phone says its to low to take pictures. But what about guppy I think guppies fry would make a nutritious meal. I was already planing on only males but what about
3/1 female to male ratio.

Forgot to mention I'm adding tss soon so guppies come after the tss

They are looking great / well fed.
I'd concentrate on giving them the right food (One shouldn't feed a dog bananas).

If they don't catch (all) the fry the guppys take over the tank.

But I never see them eat. I was given fish food from people who gave up to hobby, top fin and tetra flakes. Should I buy omega one?

My tetra will pick food from the leaves and decore in the tank. It's possible that they are scavenging while you aren't looking. I agree with DoubleDutch those fish look to be a good size, they seem to be getting enough food.

I've never kept black neon tetras, but my gold tetras are very shy compared to all the other tetras I've ever kept. They hide in the plants when I approach the tank, it doesn't even look like I have fish in that tank. They won't come out (unless they are really hungry) until I back away from the tank. If I sneak up and stay low so they don't see me, they are eating and out, but as soon as they spot me they are back hidden in the thick java fern.

Have you tried to observe them from a hidden spot? I've had my gold tetras for more than a year, they are still shy!
