Will Wisteria Be Ok After Spending 5 Days In The Mail

I ordered some water wisteria from ebay and the seller sent right before the weekend, which meant it sat in the mail without movement for 2 full days. of course the usps in my area is bad, so they also had a 1 day delay in actually delivering it to me.

when I opened it up, I rinsed it off and put it in the tank, but it looks really pale yellow and some parts are turning brown. I put it in the gravel and put flourish root tabs right next to it.

do you think its too late and should I add maybe a little flourish liquid in also?

I don't normally use flourish liquid because I only have easy plants that say they don't need it.

this is my first planted tank, so sorry for the questions if they are dumb

Hi, was it still moist when delivered or had it dried out?

Hello! Welcome to fishlore! I dropped a piece of wisteria on the counter and didn’t know it. Two days later my hubby asked what it was. I felt it and even though it felt dry and crinkly, I put it in a bowl of water with a grow tab. It’s actually growing. Seems to be a very hardy plant.

Id probably contact the seller ant try and get a partial or full refund or return it. I don't see the difference between buying onling or at the shop when it comes to my expectations for what I will and won't accept.

So Would you buy it from a shop like that.

I would not have bought it the way it looks. however, I am hopeful that it comes back and looks good. the amount they sent is so huge, and I bet would look great if it comes back.

how long do you think it should take to come back if it is going to come back. is it a few days, or a few weeks?

I'd give it a chance, I bet it will bounce back, plants usually die back when first put into a tank, it's what's called 'melt' take the dead leaves off & it will sprout new growth.

It probably won't come back per se but it should grow new baby plants on the dieing leaves of you leave it floating in your tank that you can then plant.

funny story, I had gotten a wisteria plant from petsmart and forgot about it in my car. 4 90 degree days later I found it. It was a pile of mush but I stuck it in a glass of water anyway. A few months later and I have 3 massive plants growing
