Will This Canister Work With Lily Pipes?

I'm looking to buy a small canister for an upcoming 3 gallon long tank, but I also want lily pipes. I've only used HOBs before so I'm not well versed in how this works haha

The Zoo Med nano 10 is the smallest canister I can find and comes with a spray bar and intake, but I found some lily pipes that are small enough for my tank (tank height is only 7 inches).

Zoo med:

Lily pipes:

The lily pipe tubing is 12/16 mm. I believe that would equal 1/2 inch tubing. The Zoo med canister, if the Q&A section is correct, should be 5/16 inch for the inner and 7/16 inch for the outer diameter.

Is there any way I could make this work?

Alternatively, could I use these?

The outside diameter is 10mm, with a little hot water and wriggling could I get the 8mm canister tube over that?

There's also this 9/12 mm tubing, which would fit the pipes I think, but is a hair too large for the canister.

The size of the tubing is your biggest problem I think in regards to fitting it onto your canister.
You could consider buying some 12/16 tubing and ordering the canister and see if it fits. If not, return it since you are I assume in the US

Yes, 12/16mm is equivalent to 1/2 inch tubing, which would be too big for the canister

Dear -Mak- ,

Yes this canister and these lily pipes will work perfectly. Also if you can catch the Eheim Classic 150 on sale that would work out great too. As for the lily pipes I personally prefer the JardlI brand on Amazon. They have nano pipes too. Here are the links for them :

To give you an idea about the tubing sizes relative to the pipe sizes:

9/12 mm tubing is for the 10mm Pipes.
12/16 mm tubing is for the 13mm Pipes.
16/22 mm tubing is for the 17mm Pipes.

Please do ask any further questions.

Hello! I’ve been able to find 9/12 mm lily pipes, which is what the canister needs. I believe they were Jardli, I have a few of their other products too. Thank you!
