Will these snails work?

I want a few snails to help clean the aquarium, but I don't want a lot. For my planted 44 gallon tall corner tank, can I have 1 Mystery Snail, 1 Japanese Trapdoor Snail, and 1 either Zebra Nerite or Horned Nerite? I am hoping by having only one of each, they won't breed. Also, I understand Nerite snails can leave eggs everywhere. Will they do this as a single if there are no pairs? Finally, is there any pro/con to help determine which is best for the tank between Zebra Nerite and Horned Nerite? Thanks for any help!

I had a nerite and there were eggs scattered everywhere in the tank, they were difficult to remove from the glass, I didnt bother trying to remove them from driftwood. They are good cleaners though. As far as horned vs zebra I believe its just a variation in the shell and both will perform the same. You can have as many nerite snails as you like due to the eggs will not hatch in fresh water.
Mystery snails lay their eggs above water so technically you could remove the eggs if needed or just keep the tank full at all times.
I have no experience with the trapdoor snails.

Thanks! Do you know if a nerite will lay eggs if it is a single or does it take two to lay eggs?

Yes that will work, but if you want snails for a clean up crew only I wouldn't get the mystery snails. They do not eat algae very much and need to be fed specifically. Yes a single nerite will lay eggs if it's a female.

I guess if I see eggs, I take her back to the store and trade her in and hope the new one is male!
