Will Sora be happy with glass cats?

Our Betta Sora recently caused us to need to give his Cory buddies to a friend and we'd like to get him some new tank mates as he's an extremely mellow Betta. There's a number of fish that we'd like to get that are for sure out, like Angels, Dwarf Puffers and Guppys - but would a Betta get along with the glass/ghost catfish?

I don't think any of the species you listed would be good. Especially not angels or guppys. I've read that bettas can be aggressive towards fish that have longer fins, and the Dwarf Puffers would probably kill him. Try something with moderately small fins, but not a koi or a swordtail. Nothing more flamboyant than he is, haha. But as for Betta tank mates I'm confused too, and have no idea what to get him... Which is why I made a post about it earlier... haha..

I don't think glass catfish and bettas would be good tank mates. Glass catfish need to be in groups and need a calm and quiet environment. Heres some info on glass catfish
Bettas usually don't like any other fish in their level which is top and middle. Bottom dwellers usually do pretty good with them.

yea.. I didn't think they'd be a good combo but I wanted to check with the Betta experts and hopefully be wrong.

You could get him a couple of Otos. At least they are really good algae cleaners.

Yea, he'd probably like them with his peaceful temperment. I wouldn't have any algae for them to eat (at least haven't had any yet & the tank gets only tank lighting or ambient room lighting during the day) so we'd need to feed them veggies.. Sora would happily steal the algae wafers from them, even broken into small pieces & hidden - the little finicky stinker.

I used to feed my snail chunks of zuchinnI and he loved it. For some reason cucumber can make your water stinky but zuchinnI doesn't. Attach with a veggie clip because most veggies float. My Betta Phlox used to love nibbling on the zuchinnI too and I let him because it's healthy for him. Try to find organic veggies to avoid introducing pesticides into the water and peel the skin because that's where most chemicals (if there are any) will be. Even washing really well doesn't always get all the chemicals out. I'm super picky when it comes to feeding my pets.

Did you get a bag of chopped zuchinnI in the freezer section or cut up a fresh one? Do we find those veggie clips at a store like petco or online at the DFS website? in denver, we could get the organic zuchinnI easily, but i'm not sure if I'll find it in our small town when we fly back monday. i'd prefer the organic fruits & veggies too. I hope Sora doesn't like zuchinni, he may be finnicky but I think he's figured out he can be a stinker if he eats his tank mates food

I just bought fresh zuchinni. They are really cheap too. One small zuchinnI usually cost me about 20 cents. I got a clip at Petsmart but you should be able to order them from most online petstores. Petsmart has a cute one shaped like a little clownfish!

KuhlI loaches can be fun, from what I hear. Plecos generally don't bother anything other than other bottom dwellers but they get seriously big. 20 gallon tank at least for them.

We'd like that.. today's our last day in Denver so we'll try to stop by a Petsmart & grab a couple if we can - among 27.5 million other things.

Our Bettas in a 10 gallon so any big fish wouldn't be happy for sure.
