Will Sneakheadfish Stop Growing If There Are Not Enough Space?

    i have a few snakehead type that can grow up a bit large in a 51 gallon tank

    will they stop growing if space are not provided?

    I'm not sure if you saw my other comments on your other post, but they need a bigger tank ASAP.

    They will become stunted and unhappy.

    They will but their lifespan will be shortened considerably also!!! It's never a good idea to keep a huge fish in a small tank.. speaking from experience!!!

    Their body will stop growing but their organs wont wich will result in stunting.

    Mad idea. Find something that fits your aquarium. There are tons of options

    Everything gets stunted at the same rate. The organ growth thing is a myth. The whole body tries to keep growing resulting in deformities which put undue pressure on the internal organs.

    In the wild, fish never stop growing. Growth may slow down but it never stops.
