I HAVE A TANK DIVIDER AND SOME MOLLY FRY SEPERATED FROM THE OTHER FISHES. I'D LIKE TO PUT MY YELLOW ALGEA EATER WITH THEM...IS THIS SAFE?

Please take your caps lock of, that means your yelling at us
Depends on how big the tank is and how big the algae eater is.

So sorry about the caps lock...just overlooked it. My fry are in a 10 G tank and the algae eater is about 2-3 inches big. My hubby says that it is safe since he IS an algae eater, but I'd like to be sure.

To be honest I wouldn't chance it. The algae eaters are very peaceful during the day but at night they can be very active and very fast. The can still eat fry - they don't stick to just algae. Mine loves bloodworm and other meaty treats.

The answer is no. I think only corys can live with livebearer frys peacefully.
