will my neons be ok?

I'm adding neon tetras to my first tank soon when its done cycling. my PH is around 7.4 would this be ok for them?

 

Yes, they will be fine with that pH. Neons are not as hardy as some fish, so take a bit more time in introducing them to your tank. After you float them for temperature, add 1/2 cup of tank water to their bag every 10 minutes for 1 hour. Then net them and release into the tank. Adding the tank water to the bag a little at a time will allow them to gradually become accustomed to any differences in water quality between your tank and the lfs water.

I have 2 neon tetras in 8.0 water right now--one isn't looking too good, but the other seems fine. I know the LFS where I bought mine said his tanks were at 7.4.
