I just set up my new 20 gallon long about 36 hours ago. I have 1 male blue gourami that is 6 years old in a 10 gallon tank. My dad says when he was a kid that he would put fish in right away and not wait for the nitrogen cycle and that I don't have to wait either. I am a little sceptical because I don't know if he could survive that because my gourami is old. Because I am just putting my gourami in that tank can I put him in now? Will the amount of ammonia my gourami produces be little enough so I don't have to do water changes every day? I have one tank decoration from the 10 gallon in my new 20 gallon. Thanks for any input!
