Will My Betta Attack The Panda Cories I Have?

I just recently got my new betta (poogie) and today got 3 panda cories to add into the tank. the tank is 25 gallons with a divider down the middle, the other side holding two larger guppies. On my betta's side I have a few plants and a small piece of decor. when I placed the cories (in a bag) in the water he went straight for it, nipping on the bag. after he stopped I decided to put them inside and he started flaring and following them. after a few minutes he stopped. is he going to attack them? should I move them to the other side?

I would let them be, but watch them for a while. If aggressive behavior continues they should be moved to the other side.

Remove the pandas and get albinos. He's likely just not used to other fish as he was held in a cup for so long. Get albino cories as they can live in the same temp with the betas. No peppers though

right now he seems to be really close to them, and also trying to pick on the gravel like them. he just cornered one and flared at it. theyve only been in the same tank for about 5 minutes though

All bettas behave differently with other fish. Some won't accept sharing a tank and some do just fine. You just have to keep an eye on them and if the flaring/aggression continues then you'll have to move one of them.

Get rid of the peppers! They need to be in cooler water. While betas need to be in warmer water.

I decided to jsut move the cories to the other side as he chased and nipped one already. itll be safer for all of them :/

Good thing you had a divider. You have a stocking issue if you'd like to discuss.

It means you can be overstocked, understocked(not an issue), or have fish together that need completely different parameters.

oh, well its really my family members house has burned down and in the rubble I find a couple of bettas and guppies. so I take them home and tge only aquarium tank I have is a single 25 gallon and a few small bowls. right now I have one of the bettas sick with fin rot isolated in a separate smaller tank that is about 2 liters. the cories are in with the guppies (the guppies are larger than the betta body wise)
