Will guppies eat veggies?

or should I wait to feed veggies when I get some cats?

Also when feeding something like cucumber or zucchini, should I peel them or leave the skin on? The ones I have seen at the lfs have the skin on and are cut like coins.

Is a veggie clip a good idea to grab?

I think guppies will eat veggie slices and i'd peel the slices unless the veggie is organic. i'd just drop the slice on the bottom of the tank for them to nibble on, so a veggie clip would be an optional thing to me.

going to give it a try in a few days, once my hubby stops eating all the zucchini

LOL my hubby loves zucchinI also. Most live bearers will nibble on greens and it's very good for them. I give mine veggie flakes also.

zucchinI is really good fried with scrambled eggs & parmesan cheese. Don't think the fish will eat that tho.

I think fish prefer to eat eggs raw and not scrambled. sadly, we have pretty much eliminated the fried foods from out diet. :'(

I think they have kinda figured out what it is finally. One will sit there and suck on it, the others seem scared of it

How long should I leave the veggies in there? I don't want it rotting & Messing with my cycle

Over night is long enough to leave fresh veggies in your tank. Offering them once a week for now is good and it won't take them long to figure out it's food

my daughter brought home some fresh peas from Grammas, I let her peel one and toss it in, they went crazy between tossing it around and eating it, it was funny

peeling a pea is quite interesting however, I've peel grapes before but never peas, what an interesting experience

the canned ones are a huge pain, but I find the frozen ones to be pretty easy to peel after they get a quick zap in the microwave to thaw them

Yeah, I've never tried canned, but frozen is simple. I just pierce a thawed one with a paring knife and pop out the inside.

I never took the skins off it depends how you cut them if you cut them in have and cut them into sections ....and stick them on something the skin keeps the fit a little tighter
