Will Cuttlebone Alter pH?

HI all will Cuddlebone alter my Ph at all ?

The calcium in the cuttlebone is likely calcium carbonate. Cabonate, when dissociated, acts as a weak base, so it may increase the pH slightly. Hope this helps!

So one person says it did not and another says it might... I have seen an increase but I can not 100% link it to the cuttlebone.

The logic behind why it would is sound, but you would need a lot of it in there. Of course, I was starting at 7.8, so maybe if the pH was low to start with, you would see something? I just know for me it had no impact at all.
