Will copper in fish food affect snails?

Convictkim

I was wondering if anybody could tell me if trace amounts of copper in certain fish foods will harm snails. I was advised that HIKARI SHRIMP CUISINE and other hikari foods, contain copper which I know is lethal to invertebrates. I haven't feed my shrimp this product as I have lots of mystery snails and I want to keep them. Would trace amounts be harmful over the life of the snail. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Copper is only dangerous in certain forms and compounds. Nothing wrong about it in fish foods. They have to list it even in trace amounts and it's nothing more than that.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I didn't really think those very minute amounts would harm anything. Cheers for the reply.
