I use the same filter cartideages from the old filter?

My Marineland Penguin 360B is grinding in the worst way and I have no clue why (even after taking apart, no clogs... etc)

My tank had LITERALLY just reached the end of it's cycle (took 3 months). I'm going to exchange the filter for the exact same one.

Will my cycle get messed up from swithing filters if I use the same cart's? If I did want to upgrade filters (aka completely new media) will this hurt my cycle????

If you put the current media in the new filter it won't affect your cycle, if you upgrade & have new media then you'll have to start your cycle again.

The bacteria is on the bio wheel in penguin filters. There is surely some bacteria on the filter pads, but keeping the same bio wheels will help more than the pads.
