Will Calcium Powder Harm The Other Fish?

GoldieMama

So I got a blue apple snail yesterday and in a few days I want to make my own calcium powder/calcium high snail gel food. The problem is, for the powder I'm worried it will cloud up my tank and the other fish will eat it all, will it hurt them? With the gel I plan on putting just lettuce and the calcium powder, and I know as soon as I drop it in the fish (especially my 2 twin platies) will start devouring it. Is it safe for them?

Dramier

I crush up egg shells and use it in my fish tanks without causing any trouble. I don't add very much and it doesn't cloud up the water at all.

The following fish show no issues with it:

Endler's
Endler Hybrid
Fancy Guppies
Golden Zebra Loaches
Oto Cats
Gold Inca Snail
Red Cherry Shrimp
Ghost Shrimp

I've never seen the fish do much more than eat it and then spit it back out. Hope this helps.
