Will an angelfish ventral fin grow back?

Got some angelfish yesterday and didn't notice that one was missing it's right ventral fin until it was in the tank. Will this grow back?

Yes...it will take some time but it will grow back.
When I had an angel, and didn't know better, I had a gourami in the tank also. he more then once clipped off part of ventral.

Always grew back.

 

yep. All of their fins will grow back if they are damaged. Not just the ventral fins.

 

If damaged yes. Missing ventrals are a common genetic deformity, if this is the case, no.

 

It has a gimpy pectoral fin as well, maybe it is not to be.
