I have no idea about the snails but be very careful with the dose. Its easily over dosed and can kill every thing in the tank. Personally i wouldnt put it in my own tanks.

Ok, then I will not use it.
I have purigen in there, I'll just see if that will quell the green water.
Thanks david1978

I have used algaefix in the past and it has worked miracles!! Never had problems of anything dying as long as you don’t overdose.
If u are really worried about your snails then you don’t have to use but from passed experience it work fine for me

Lol, you stop it....I knew you were gonna do that hahahahahaha.
I got 2 big mystery snails in there working on the glass and they are already doing a good job.
Like I told David I got 4 pouches of purigen in there hopefully that does the trick.

I was looking into it earlier, and it says not to use with shrimp, craps, and crayfish, so I would assume you probably shouldn't use it with snails either.

From their SDS:

AlgaeFix SDS - 2019-03-14 17_38_39-Chemwatch.png

It's used as an algaecide in cooling towers.

Plenty of people have reported mass deaths using it or the Tetra version even at the correct dosage.

Aquarium companies don't do toxicity testing on their products so don't assume the recommended dosage is guaranteed to be safe.
