Will a full grown texas cichlid eat a 3 inch oscar?

 

So far, from what I've seen of my convicts, which are similar to the Texas, they will eat anything they can get into their mouths!!!! Kinda Human! :

Just about any fish will eat fish small enough to fit into the larger fish's mouth.
Since a full grown Texas is 8-10 inches, I forsee only problems placing it with a 3 inch oscar.

Even if it doesn't eat it, it might see it as a threat, in which case it'll probably beat the snot out of it!
