Will a 20 Long work for rummynose's?

I'm in the early stages of cycling my tank and i'm trying to decide of which tetra type I want.

I was told rummynose tetras are to active for a 20 long and that I should get black neons instead.
Was really set on their red color against my planted tank.

So is that true?

Was planning on about 12-15 with cherry shrimps and 1 mystery snail.

I think rummy nose will be fine in a 20 long.

15 would be a bit much in a 20 gallon in my opinion at least. I would say 10 or 12. Also keep in mind when choosing plants that rummy nose like fairly warm water.

Whats a good temp for them 80f?
I'm using plants cuttings from my betta tank that was between 79-81f.
