In Poole, Dorset today I went crabbing. The three crabs were caught in the net all at the same time and the three small fish were caught accidentally before I caught any crab. Two of the fish look like gobies and the third looks like some kind of free-swimming fish, though I don't know what exactly. The big fish that you see was the bait.

My dad caught two crabs and two fish. Therefore I won.

They were released back into the sea after I finished crabbing.

This is Upton Heath, a nature reserve in Dorset. Horses (not wild) freely roam around and I saw two on my walk. One rustled in the bushes and approached, almost like something out of a safari expedition. Cows also live here, but none were seen.

Upton Heath used to be all forest. The heathlands were created by a wildfire which decimated clusters of trees, however opened up a vast open heathland full of mammals, reptiles and insects. There's also an abandoned quarry, which reminds me of the Oleshky Sands in Ukraine, except with life. Nature doesn't get more beautiful does it?

Taking photo of any bird requires patience. And these photos of Sparrows and Pigeons are taken by me with a long focus lens for the first time, and in today.

We have Swallowtail caterpillars in the dill plants in the garden every year. This year, the birds seemed to be picking them off - so we brought one caterpillar inside to help her out :) Here are some pics of the transformation!

With my capture this dragonfly is like there is a pair of eyes in his face (Their real compound eyes), just like what dragonfly is portrayed in cartoon, etc.

Found this newly molted dragonfly a while back. Normally, I wouldn’t have picked him up (they’re very fragile at this stage), but his wings were already dry, and his exoskeleton had nearly hardened.
