Wife brought home a betta

I know it seems like a lot of my threads blame my wife but that is not my intentions lol. Her and my son were at AC more getting some craft stuff and I asked her to stop at petsmart to pick me up some garlic guard. They come home with this betta. Wife said the boy liked it and she felt bad for it.

I've never had a betta before...don't know much about them. He is by himself in a 10 gallon...I need to give him a name.

Like his red fins, u could call him Flame or Blaze. Bet he gets more purple in his body once he settles in.

very pretty. couple things to know.

-good temp is 80f
-they love floating plants
-very touchy as far as food and SBD, soak all foods it tank water to help with digestion, I feed 4 pellets in morning and 3 at night.
-make sure the current is not to strong, sponge filters work great

that's all I can think of right now. I'm sure with all you fish keeping experience you'll find this is a very easy fish and my first. hope your family enjoys him.

he looks like he was spray painted, call him graffitI

He has a sponge filter right now and I cut some hornwort from my main tank and put in there temp is 78 so I will bump it up a little.

yeah, its like he doesn't know what to do with himself. Wife said the cups were stacked on a shelf 2 high pushed the whole way back. Like soup cans stacked in the grocery store...so a 10 gallon is a big step up for him lol

they way they sell them is why I have 6 of these poor lil guys you shouldnt support something you don't believe in, but it won't stop. so I save as many as I can. although because of them having to be alone ill prob have to stick with just one after these are gone.
