In a small, maybe 10-gallon tank, wired white worms have appeared. We previously had an ammonia problem, but that’s been tanker care of. What are these worms? Are they safe for fish?

Detritus worms I believe. Harmless but common in high numbers in tanks with a buildup of gunk. Do a bit more cleaning with gravel vacs and they will decrease in number.

Totally agree. Need to gravel vac more. Reduce feedings maybe. Let the tank catch up a little.

Fish will also eat 'em as well!
