Wierd spots on leaves/driftwood.

Ok, so recently I noticed some weird spots all over my driftwood and plants, I have no idea how to describe this, so ive got some pics.. They look like white dots .. what are they? I have a common pleco, two SAE and 6 rummy noses.. all are fine. I would appreciate it if someone can identify this.

I'm curious as well b/c I have a little bit of that on my driftwood as well. Hasn't affected water parameters so I think its harmless in my case. I'm guessing it may be some kind of mineral build-up.

I have the same and think it is some kind of algae as our ammano shrimp clears the drift wood but not the plants

I'm now recalling having some spots on my anubias leaves for a little while when my tank was newly set up. They disappeared after a bit but some remains in the crevices of one of my pieces of wood....not the other ? ? hmmm.

oh it just dissapeared? well, because I have a pleco ans 2 SAE, I was hoping they would find it and eat it up, but they don't seem to be interested. . hopefully mine goes away. so far I don't see any change in the water... :-\
